Towards the end of April, my poker sessions have been dealing with some major variance. It is hard to play when you are 1-3 BIs under EV and play the same. Implementing a stop loss would be the result, but It is hard to not play poker when you are down so much to a few suck outs. I guess limping less from the small blind and not calling with 2 junk cards in big blind with 4:1 odds will help save money. I also did a few stupid plays such as calling 2 all ins with AKo. Running into AA with KK is also kinda stanard about every 10,000 hands or so. I'm okay with that, however plays like AK vs 4bet deep I should avoid because my post flop play is no good.
My friend Long also gave me a beta key for Starcraft II. I've been playing once in a while but I don't like it as much as Starcraft because I'm not as good as it. It's hard to get use to the new controls since there are no f2-f4 keys. I need to learn so solid build orders before playing in my placement match. I played a few custom matches and I got wrecked. It feels bad losing.
Here are some of my goals for the month of May.
-Sleep Early and eat Healthy
-Work out every other day
-At least 2 hours poker daily
-10 hours of Starcraft a week
It seems pretty do able If I put my mind to it. I bought a metropass for the month of May so I'll be able to go to the Gym more easily. Everything else should fall in place. I have not been putting as much time into poker as I did before. I'm afraid I will not keep up with the meta and lose my edge. Hopefully I will stick to my goals and complete them by June.
