I have not been blogging for a while because I was playing Starcraft 2 Beta. I am two of the lucky 10,000 people that blizzard has chosen to test the game. I share accounts with two of my friends so I can pretty much play whenever I want. I have played two poker sessions since my last blog post and I am up 3 buy-ins. I should really play more beat/starcraft/poker, but all I do is talk on IRC. I feel really guilty that I can play sc2 and probably the person reading this cannot. Yet I will do something the person reading this can do while the person reading this cannont play Starcraft 2. The other day my friend and his girlfriend were in an arguement and the girl was crying. It seemed like a very depressing moment, so I opened my laptop and loaded Osu. I enable no-fail mode and auto pilot mode and played the McDonalds song. I made them smurk because Ronald Mcdonald kept falling off the bench. After they made out infront of me furiously, which I then walked away. On Friday I was suppose to have my stats midterm, but my professor fucked up his server so our midterm got pushed one week later. I have two more midterms left: Introduction to Java and Statistics. I am going to close my eyes now. Goodbye.

I just played a solid two hour session, swang down 4 buy-ins. I started the session off with a set over set which was kind of unfortunate but I lost the minimum. I also flat villains blocker bet on the river when he had quads over my over pair 99 V KK on a 995q7 board. Everyone folded my raises. I only stacked a few shortstackers and sucked out when my Queens ran into Kings. I also lost the minimum on KK with a 4flush on board with a nice blocker bet. I also made a bad play bluffing AK on a river made flush. It was a terrible play but I got horny for chips.

I have also been listening to Korean Rap. I prefer it over American rap because they do not stress emphasis on having intercourse and obtaining money. To bad I do not know what they are saying. Bone Thugs are in this song. I like them.

Maybe tomorrow I will have a better session.

Poker analysis

The other night I took one shot at a 2.20 180 man turbo and I came 3rd. There was one hand I thought was questionable. I had about 6 M and my hand was 3-4 suited and I limped in the small blind with one person limping in out of position. I totally missed the flop with a runner runner straight or flush draw. I took a stab by betting pot and big blind folded and OOP called. The turn gave me an open ended straight draw. I checked hoping for a free card and he bet little less than half the pot. I shoved with my open ended draw and he folded. I wonder if that was a spewy play.

At the break, one person asked me what cards I had when I did a standard shove. I didn't know what he was talking about so I just pretended I was stupid and said stuff like I don't know I just click buttons. Later on in the tournament approaching the bubble I am playing about 14/7 and raised on the button with QT suited and the same guy that asked me for my hand shoved me. I thought he was trying to make a move with low pocket pair or suited connectors so I called and he turned over KJo. I think that was a terrible call by me. I double him up. I also hold before the final table when I make a call with J9 vs 55.

I ended up getting knocked out in 3rd place snap calling 4 handed against AK and KQ. I was pleased with my 3rd place finish. I would like to hear people's thoughts on my 3-4 hand. With this 3rd place victory I am about $40 richer!

Start of a new year for most asian people. Going to try and get this year off to a good start. I got my hud working and my roll going. Going to try to squeeze in a good 2-3 hours of poker everyday. Also, even though it seems like I have a lot of time this week because of reading week. I should spend a good portion of my time concentrating on my studies. I will still do 10 push ups every time I lose a buy-in and try to go to bed before 1 am. I have been playing a lot of Osu with Angry. He keeps beating me. I hate how you have to spin in Osu but I enjoy the rythmn parts. Hopefully, I will get this year off to a good start!

Google Buzz is making quite a buzz!

I thought that was pretty clever. But I've been messing around with Google Buzz for quite a bit and I like it better than facebook. However, I doubt all my friends would switch over just for me :3. Now that my reading week has started I'm going to put lots of hours into poker and somehow manage my time for homework and working out. I think I will do 10 pushups everytime I lose a buy-in and take a break at the top of every hour. It will be a flawless plan. I am feeling very apathetic. picture unrelated

I'm eatting McDonalds breakfast again.

Last night I had a weird ass dream. Everyone was in chaos doing stupid shit like throwing food at each other. Then this door would talk but opening and closing saying something like Let there be peace and everyone would stop. Then the rest is fuzzy. But there was this one part where some guy had a usb and somehow the earphones were connected to the keychain to the usb and there was some orange pin to the keychain. When he was done using the computer I heard something from the earphones saying something (it was unplugged) so I told him to listen to it and It said something like plug in the usb and the orange pin into the computer (not the usb). So he did it and then the computer started going crazy and I just had the feeling that the world wasn't controled by the talking door anymore and the whole world went back to normal. Then I woke up. I'm going to eat mcdonalds now.

I'm so full.

So today I went to the orthodontist to talk about the procedure to fix my teeth. They are going to pull out 4 of my teeth, then I am going to get braces. Then they are goign to break my jaw and push it back with a 15% risk my lips and gums will become numb for life. I don't know if I should get braces. On top of that I have to pay 10k. Whatever. Also today my friend 3rd wheeled me but he paided for dinner. So I think that was okay. But I got 3rd wheel and that's a shitty feeling but I got free dinner so that's nice. I can sure go for some orange juice. Oh god I'm so full I ate so much shashmi! I tried on my friends mcdonalds hat today just to see what I look like if I woked at mcdonalds. I don't think I will ever work at mcdonalds. My friends work there though. My legs are tired I had to walk from Ryerson to Spandina in 15 minutes. My legs are very sore. I tried playing a session of poker today while I was listening to my friends story. I lost 6$. I think I need to spend a good long session to get back into poker mode. Although I thought it was +EV to shove AQ on a AJ6 ranbow board to get called by an AK shortstacker. I lose again when I call an all in with 99 on a 6745 double fdraw board. That play was probably spewy. I should play more during reading week.

Random thoughts.

I haven't been bloging for a while. That is because I'm so busy with school and when I say busy with school I mean watching starcraft. I always put my work off till the last day. feels bad man. Oh God Valentines day is coming up and I'm going to be so ronery cause I'll spend it with no one. Earlyer I had curry chicken for dinner and I couldn't finish it so I had to throw it out. Oh god the poor chickens. I have some stupid ASS ...ignment that I have to do(heh i'm so clever). I have to write a java program to calculate the quadratic equation where you have to input all the numbers in one message box. Seems harder that it looks. On top of that my professor trolled all of us by using b^2+4ac when the original equation is b^2-4ac. I have been listening to kpop a lot and I think people will think I'm a faggot because they will think that guy is chinese why is he listening to korean music. I think korean pop is really catchy. Maybe one day I will marry a korean girl and play lots of starcraft. However my pure chinese bloodline will be tainted. feels bad man. Next week I have spring break and I don't know what I should do. My dad wants to go states for like a family vaction or something but I want to party with my friends but I guess I should spend some quality time with my family. Xife of XifeGaming hasn't giving me 100 euros yet. I have asked him to borrow his poker books but he is to lazy. I also saw the nexus one released by google. I think I want one because I will be the only canadian with it. But then they will release it in Canada and a newer version and I will be stuck with it. I spent a long time, about 4 hours, trying to do this accounting question. I assumed that 1/3 of 150k was 50k but I was suppose to input it into the calculator and get a decimal answer. My final answer was 9000 when they wanted 8998. That pisses me off so much. Oh God, I'm so full. Why did I eat so much curry chicken. Now I'm feeling cold I'm going to put on my jacket. I wonder if I changed my birthday to tomorrow, How many people will wish me happy birthday. That is all on my mind.

The month of Feburary

I haven't been keeping up with my blogs for a while, so I will make a super long entry. Poker hasn't been my main focus on the past few days. It's hard to play poker without a HUD since my trail expired. In the mean time I've been playing and watching a lot of starcraft. Currently in proleague it's the Shinhan Bank Winners League, which is fucking awesome. They play a winner stays on format, where you always see people from each team trying to stay on top. Ocassionaly there would be all kills (where one player destroys the whole team) performed by a player and the starcraft community would go crazy. I usually stay up till 6am everyday watching proleague, but damn it's worth it.

I've also been playing on iccup a lot, trolling the D players and practicing my unorthodox builds. I've been working on my APM alot lately, trying to reach my 300APM average goal. It seems pretty hard to maintain that speed when your fingers aren't warm. Perhaps that's why flash lost his first game in the MSL.

That's 1.5 years of dedication of starcraft right there.

Looking forward, in Feburary I'll probably look towards playing less Starcraft like 1-3 games a day. While putting more time in playing hands in poker. I still got to purchase a HUD asap and I got to start lurking the 2p2 fourms. With tests coming up at the end of the month, I'm sure I can manage.
